Good Will Hunting
The first 20 minutes of Good Will Hunting made me wonder why people love this film, but it got much better—especially when Robin Williams’ character was introduced.
Good Will Hunting is incredible for its motivational themes and its focus on fear. The story is engaging and interesting, with a solid pace. The characters are what make this film what it is today—they’re unforgettable and have emotional scenes filled with impactful quotes.
The acting from Robin Williams is intimate and understated; he really brings out the character beautifully. The cinematography is competent, and the lighting is restrained. The film does a great job exploring the idea of “what will you do?”—every Will Hunting scene feels like a mystery and his conclusion was compelling and cohesive from his character perspective.
The growth of Will Hunting and Sean Maguire is incredible, and you can really see it throughout the film. The ending is well done and leaves you wanting more.
