Ghost in the Shell

One of the most philosophically challenging movies out there. Forget the great animation, tight story, engaging acting. This movie really makes you think and challenges reality. What does it mean to be alive? If you have memories of something that didn’t happen, what’s actually real? I think these questions are even more pressing as we start to move toward AI that’s more and more dominant in our lives. I think we’re a ways away from AI becoming self aware, but what about as we start to add computers and hardware to our bodies and brains? What a movie.
