Solaris is a movie I have been trying to get through for half a year. Every time I sat down to watch it, I inevitably got distracted and moved on. Then I sat down today and finally clicked. Yeah it's a masterpiece. Haunting and painful and decidedly less theistic than other Tarkovsky films, Solaris is an absolute nightmare of a film. I know another watch would let me appreciate it even more, but I need a few days to unpack my thoughts.
