The Batman

fear is a tool. when that light hits the sky, it’s not a call. it’s a warning. the movie has so much aura. the score, the BEAUTIFUL cinematography (so many moments where i’m like yo this shot is absolutely incredible), the gloomy gotham, the set pieces, the story, everything about this movie is so so good.  i remember watching this opening night & when he turns the batmobile on, my seat was vibrating into my core & i fucking loved it. i loved how we get basically a zodiac/seven investigation plot but with batman at the forefront showing his pi skills. the riddler is so underrated, i think he’s so unique & weird & unhinged. catwoman, my god, FINE AF, i would’ve left gotham so quick with her. & batman dude, such an aura farmer. it’s small details like how he emerges from the dark, how his footsteps literally make the theater shake, those beautifully crafted shots (him overlooking gotham, his walking towards penguin’s car, him falling down from the glass roof in the third act, the hallway scene where the only light is from the guns, him leading the people out of the flood) this movie is so unbelievably good & for it to be 3 hours you literally do not feel it whatsoever. absolute BANGER
