Nightcrawler

Jake Gyllenhaal not getting a nomination for this performance is bewildering to me.  His character, Lou Bloom is a sociopathic like narcissist who goes to disturbing ends to become the best at what he does.   Nightcrawler's well shot scenes of crime and horror, perfected by Gyllenhaal's eerie performance forced the viewers eyes to never leave the screen.  The film also brings to light how often times you must be an unapologetic douchbag to succeed in certain industries.  Nightcrawler begs the question, should we be rooting for the anti-hero?
