Ratatouille
I love this movie so much. If I had to describe ratatouille in two words it would be elegant and beautiful. The music, the food, the french accents and culture, the loyalty, and the animation. All of these major aspects of the film I associate with these majestic feelings.
I love that the vibe of the film is so elegant because you would never expect a film about a rat to be elegant. I believe this was done on purpose from the film makers because this represents the entire meaning of the film. The films motto, anyone can cook, has a deeper meaning that anyone can become anyone. No one would assume a film about a rat would be so beautiful just like no one would assume a world renowned chef would come from a tiny street rodent. While it is not likely there are many rats out there that can cook like Remy, the movie still acts as a great reminder to not judge a book by its cover, and anyone from any background can live their dream.
While the movie has a touching takeaway, it is also an entertaining story with laughs galore. Linguini's quirkiness isn't only wholesome but its hilarious. The relationship he creates with Remy and life in a french kitchen is something all ages will enjoy watching. The score and music were also perfect. There was no need for dialogue in certain scenes because the score was done well enough to convey feelings of drama and shock through the screen. And of course the famous song that plays through out the whole movie is so catchy and gorgeous, I definitely will be finding it on spotify.
I have always adored this movie, based off personal enjoyment and nostalgia it may just be my favorite film of all time.
