First Reformed

This is so great. Ethan kills it as always. First Reformed ask a lot of questions without giving us the answer. This leaves us with a lot to ponder and consider after the credits. The script and pace of this film hold back in a lot of ways that I think makes this a worthwhile exploration of faith, longing and pain. The bluntness of the violence and anguish In this film paint a vivid picture despite all this. I want to give this a rewatch at some point to see how my views on this might change.
