What a well made film. I don’t know much about this time period but I am beyond interested now. The film is shot beautifully with a superb performance from the whole cast. This was recommended by a friend who I don’t usually feel like has great movie taste but damn was I wrong. While the film is a bit long and slow I think that plays into the atmosphere and positions you in a way that helps you understand the politics of the situation. I was anxious nearly the whole film waiting for the ending that felt inevitable from the start.
