The Thing

If this was made today, you’d have “ the thing” in the opening couple mins and it just completely ruin the suspense and tension of the whole film!  The atmosphere is what makes this film so good, this film STILL shocks and just unnerves me with its actual horror!  The sets, props and costumes are just honestly amazing, the special effects I’ll always been in awe of has they are just a technical masterpiece for their time as they are so grotesque but not distracting, not one bit even!  The deliberate slow pace and just cracking script make this just such a compelling story with well written and acted characters like Kurt Russell has never been better! A cracking score too like it is so haunting and simple but yet effective. The blood test scene is tension fuelled and I’ve seen that scene before yet it’s still got me on the edge of my seat! This film is just brilliant!  One of the greatest sci-fi horrors ever made and the ending is intentionally ambiguous which makes just tops this film off too!!!  Bravo Jonathan bravo
