Sinners
This film is not only one of the best movies of 2025 but also stands alone as one of the most important of the last decade. A truly spectacular representation of culture, music and society. the aspect ratio switches had me going back 10 seconds simply to watch them again, truly something I haven't seen done this well ever. The music in this film including I Lied To You, Last Time (I Saw The Sun), Pale,Pale Moon all deserve their own Oscars, I truly wish they would do that, simply for this masterful composition. Furthermore their use of pre-existing music such as Rocky Road To Dublin accompanying the second best scene in this masterpiece was the cherry on top. Furthermore the performances from Miles Caton, MBJ, Delroy Lindo and Tenaj Jackson truly shone apart from anything else, with Miles Caton being my outstanding protagonist performance. But, there was one who shone beyond all my expectations, Jack O'Connell as Remmick, my word what a terrifying and awe inspiring performance, I am surprised he has not received the same awards buzz as some of the other names on this list, but I really wish he had. Furthermore, surprisingly I missed the epilogue the first time around, so that was quite a nice surprise for me to really cap off a truly superb experience. A Classic in the making and a truly monumental piece in both cinematic scope and cultural impact. This film will long be talked about as one of the greats, and so it should be.
