The Thing

Can John Carpenter come and pick up his ‘The Thing’? It’s making a huge mess at the cozy little artic base. Known as one of the greatest horror films of all time and that title is damn well deserved. Everything in this just works perfectly for me. Starting off with a great setting, isolated in the middle of nowhere with an ensemble cast with different quirks, add onto that a terrifying and mysterious creature with some genuinely horrifying practical effects and designs, and you’ve got yourself a classic.
