GoodFellas

Absolutely unreal film. So unbelievably cool in so many ways, any scene with Pesci was so incredibly tense you knew something was gonna happen you just didn't know when, he made Tommy DeVito his own and no one else could play that role. De Niro is great in this film, not my favourite performance of his but such a great performance. But the performance that just topped it all was Ray Liotta as Henry Hill, finding out that he didn't even get nominated for an Academy Award for this role is insane, the Academy has always been suspect because this is one of the best male lead performances I have watched so far in my life. Bracco's performance as Karen is just impeccable, reminds me of Diane Keaton in The Godfather. This film is just chock-full of masterful performances and I see why this is regarded as Scorsese's masterpiece. I already can't wait to watch it again.
