Good Will Hunting

I think this film is a cultural icon as much as Matt Damon or Ben Affleck. This was revolutionary in giving a voice to a lot of people that grew up in youth from a generation war torn, conservative, and without respect for children the normalization of beating children. Abuse has never seen the wide distribution at least mainstream until this movie released. Ask anyone on the street and I’ll give a 65% chance they’ll say their favorite movie is Good Will Hunting and why shouldn’t it be, it’s culturally significant for the better in the interest of humanity, it’s well written, well performed, well directed really goes into depth about the cultural spheres of Boston the more in the rough areas highlighted like Southy not just Harvard or BU. It deserves all the love this film gets because it’s funny, tragic, intellectual, intuitive, and gives a voice to the unseen like abuse in youth and also projecting in the film industry that you can achieve your dream write something personal to you and share it.
