Blue Velvet
This movie made me feel freaky in a way that only a David Lynch work could do. It has a bit of everything: the drama that ensues because of a crime, the sensuality and desire that run wild throughout the narrative - from Jeffrey's voyeurism to Dorothy being consumed by the disease of purity when she deemed herself unworthy of anything good, delightful uses of the colors red and blue and a young Kyle McLachlan looking absolutely gorgeous to the eye. It perfectly encapsulates the feeling of fucking around and finding out. A true masterpiece that you could only expect from one of the founding fathers of the freaky genre in cinema.
