Seven Samurai
There’s something about 3 hour plus epics which I can’t get enough of, and to get it out of the way, yes, this is
the greatest film I’m yet to see.*

Akira Kurosawa is a masterful director. His films have an odd sense of comfort for me, I get excited to watch them knowing that it’ll be a pleasant watch, achieving what films ideally should by transporting you into the world he creates, his story. He had a thing for making iconic ideas, ideas so brilliant that their inspirations are felt decades on for generations to experience. He’s a directing mastermind, and this is the pinnacle of his work.
