“I’m not alone” It’s crazy to think that a movie made during the early years of the internet could be so prophetic about what it’s grown to be in 2025. No matter how connected we are online and how accessible we are to each other, it doesn’t matter… because it isn’t real. Once the screens turn off we’re back to being by ourselves. For some people, an extreme loneliness. Unfortunately, not everyone can live with that. The melancholy here was much scarier than any of the (very) unnerving scenes of the ghosts.  I went into this expecting a creepy internet horror movie and left feeling existential dread about where we’re going as a species. Nice.
