Blade Runner 2049
Greatest movie ever made bar none. I usually leave my serious reviews for my IMDB account, but this movie is so special that I had to add it here. A beautiful film about loneliness, sadness, and the fight of the insignificant to try and make a difference in a world that has cast them aside. Oscar worthy performance from Ryan Gosling, some of the best cinematography in movie history, and a story that needs complex emotional digestion and thought. Excellent, perfect, and beautifully depressing, the film doesn't have a single mistake that I can find. It builds upon a solid structure created by the original Blade Runner, takes the rather weak philosophy of it and transforms it into something life changing. What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be alone? What does it mean to love? We can’t all be the main character, but we can be the main character in our own stories. Gloriously depressing.
