10 years + since I’ve seen a Hitchcock , so I had to revisit one of me and my pops favorites . That dude was a Hitchcock lover . I’ve probably seen them all tbh , it’s just been so long .  It’s so fucking beautiful man , you’ll never see better use of the color green . EVER . In your ENTIRE lifetime . The Matrix and LaLaLand is up there for sure though .  Psychological mystery noir featuring obsession , surreal elements , beautiful sound design ( obviously it’s a Hitchcock ) , one of the best visuals ever , and top 15 all time at least … in terms of greatest color ever … and an extremely complex femme fatale ; to top it off , from Kim Novak who honestly has the best performance in the movie . All piloted by the one and only James Stewart … it embodies most of the things I love . Unbelievable upgrade seeing this in 4k for the first time .  Beyond excited to revisit Rear Window . This might be the same case as Apocalypse Now where it just shot back up to my favorites after my first watch in a decade . As well as my Mount Rushmore . Starting off the new year with a fucking banger .
