riding that extraterrestrial high i decided to watch this finally & this movie was gasssssss omg the perfect feminist horror film. the pure stupidity of men was brilliantly showcased in this, sigourney weaver ate downnnnn, and the effects were amazing everything looked so expensive and well done. considering this was released in 79 & managed to look like something from the 2000’s i think they nailed the futuristic vibe. i also loved just how little we knew about the alien- including how nobody knew how to kill it, leaving them to run or die essentially. only thing i can say is i wish the planet they found the alien in was more creative and fun to look at but this was amazingggg. will probably rewatch at some point!
