Eraserhead
A disturbing, grotesque, nightmarish, visceral, haunting, unsettling, bizarre, uncomfortable, and frankly unforgettable surrealist horror masterpiece. I truly don’t know what the fuck I just watched, but it was brilliant on every level possible. It hails some of the most haunting imagery I have ever seen, that will stick with me long after this viewing. The sound design was absolutely incredible, the constant ambient industrial noise created this completely unnerving atmosphere. It brilliantly explored many deep themes through its imagery, like sexuality, child neglect, loneliness and the fears and anxieties of parenthood, all in a deeply disturbing and unsettling way. I won’t be able to stop thinking about this film for a very, very long time. I loved this so fucking much. David Lynch, you are unbelievable!
5/5.
