Spider-Man 2

The greatest superhero film ever made. Not just that, but one of the greatest films, period. No Spider-Man film has, or ever will capture the hardships of being Peter Parker and Spider-Man like this one does. It does so with such perfection that the number of scenes that bring me to tears is insane. The writing is flawless, and Aunt May’s speech about how there’s a hero in all of us might just be my favourite scene of all time. The train sequence is equally powerful. The film really drives home that Peter is just a kid with dreams and desires like all of us, but he sacrifices those for the selfless life of being a hero. He chooses to make the world a safer place for others, completely giving up a normal life to do what’s right with the gift he’s been given. The writing is nothing short of incredible. I’m in tears just thinking about it. My love for this film and Spider-Man in general is unmatched.
