A Clockwork Orange
so, i just did my second rewatch (honestly, i didn't even finish the movie last night, but let's just leave it at that) and here's my take on it:
- the first 15 minutes WERE painful to watch, especially when they all broke into the old man's house and alex did "that" to his wife, that's why i felt unable to watch it any longer and decided to stop right there
- after i stopped and went straight to letterboxd to rate it "terrible," i thought about "maybe i'll continue watching it the next day" (and finally did), but i didn't expect it to get any better either, you know? settling yourself for something less? it turns out i was wrong. the rest of the movie wasn't very bad. then i realised that it was just a movie about "karma" presented in a slightly different (and odd) way. still, the first 15 minutes were awful
- why isn't anyone talking about the fake eyelashes alex wore while in disguise??? i wanna know what brand he used!
- my favourite scene is when they locked alex in a room and "tortured" him by blasting "9th symphony" at full volume. HAHAHA, it was absolute cinema!
- last but not least, i pretty much enjoyed this movie #lol
