Whiplash

Not quite my tempo. In all seriousness, this film is so great. Too many memorable quotes, to choose from. I think many people misinterpret this film as the theme being that perfecting your work makes you successful, and clearly Andrew went through hell attempting to be perfect. This movie is definitely a cautionary tale about how attempting to be perfect can drive you insane. The cast is amazing, Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons did an amazing job in their performances. I was truly terrified by Fletcher, and I understand why Andrew literally hated him so much. This also has some of the best jazz music and drumming I have ever heard, and I consistently listen to the “Caravan” and “Whiplash” tracks. Andrew would’ve had to turn my pages, skadoosh. - Your boy Noah
