Sinners
Sinners is easily the best film of the year so far i had the pleasure of seeing it in IMAX 70MM and it added so much life to the film seeing it on the biggest screen possible and being able to fully appreciate all the aspect ratio changes and the beautiful cinematography of the film.
Michael B. Jordan arguably gives his best performance with Smoke and Stacks while usually i feel having a actor play two roles can sometimes not do much for a film he’s able to make both brother feel like completely different living characters with their own personalities and issues with Stacks being my favorite with his relationship with Smoke and Mary. Hailee Steinfeld also gives a great performance as Mary and really sells how much she cares for Stacks and everyone else with how they all feel like family. The coming of age esque story for Sammy really shines with him being at the center of everything with being the cousin of the twins and his music being the heart and soul of the whole film.
This is without a doubt Ryan Coogler best work and i think everyone needs to see this on the biggest screen possible this could potentially be my movie of the year.
