“What’s your favorite scary movie?”I’ve been waiting for October all year long. I was planning on having this horror movie marathon, watch at least one scary movie a day. Of course, it didn’t go as planned. But I really wanted to give Scream a rewatch, and it’s the perfect time of the year for it.
The opening scene still gave me chills. It really is exceptional. Drew Barrymore plays her part so well.
I must’ve added 11 movies to my watchlist thanks to this rewatch, lol. I never noticed all these movie references when I first watched it. Guess I wasn’t as into movies as I am today and naturally ignored them. Now they’re everywhere and I love it.
Overall, it’s still great, even 3 decades later! It aged so well. It’s THE movie that broke the unofficial rules in horror franchises. Even Halloween H20 took inspiration from it, and so many slasher films after. Must be one of my favorites!!
