Love Through a Prism
"I'll take you there one day, don't forget the blue paint"> "Any painting is not just a canvas and paint, it's hours of commitment and a moment in time. To throw one away is like throwing away the person who made it"I didn’t expect Love Through a Prism to feel so personal. I thought it would just be a soft art-school romance, but it ended up saying way more about being an artist than I was ready for. What I really liked and admired was how the characters use art as a way to speak when they can’t find the words. Feeling insecure, jealous, and constantly self-doubting yourself,it all felt so real. The show doesn’t romanticize creating, it shows how frustrating it can be and how sometimes you never want to make art ever again. Watching them struggle made me realize how hard it can be. The romance between Lili and kit is quiet and earned. It’s not just attraction , it’s connection through creativity. They fall for each other because they see the meaning behind each other’s work. That kind of intimacy feels deeper than a typical love story. By the end, I wasn’t just thinking about the characters. I was thinking about why I create in the first place. That I should do it for myself, and not for others, it’s so honest. it isn’t just about painting. It’s about passion in general. Art is just the lens the show uses, but the message goes deeper than that. It’s about what happens when you care about something so much that it becomes part of your identity. The fear of failing at it. The pressure to be good at it. The way it can both heal you and hurt you. I don't think any piece of media will ever be able to convey anything like this.
