Interstellar
Interstellar is very quickly climbing the ranks in my favorite films of all time.
There’s something about this movie. I have began to hear from some people that they could never watch the movie again or wouldn’t enjoy it as much because of the “twist”. And I definitely don’t undertake that take. Every time I watch Interstellar I grow to love it more and more. Call me a film bro, call me a Chris Nolan stan, go ahead. I’ll take it.
People ask, what do you love most about it? Is it the incredible direction from Nolan? Is it that near perfect performance for the film from Matthew McConaughey? Is it iconic and mesmerizing score from Hanz Zimmer? Is it the out of this world visuals of space? Is it the cinematography? All are clearly incredible. But the best part about this film is that it is this grand larger than life sci fi epic that’s main themes are about love and time. The themes are less grand and more minimal about what it means to be human, and that’s wonderful.
forever love this film. S/o Micah, his favorite film ever.
