Sinners

I went into this movie with high expectations and a lot of excitement. And yet somehow it completely blew me away. Ryan Coogler is operating on a level that nobody under the age of 40 is operating at. We get career performances from Michael B Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld and Jack O’Connell. Ludwig Göransson is potentially the best working right now with this and Oppenheimer in the last couple of years. I have so many thoughts about this movie that I want to share, but I need another rewatch before I solidify anything. Generational stuff here. And there is a scene that no joke is one of the best of the decade and maybe of the century. Coogler cooked.
