Before Sunrise

i won’t deny that from an objective standpoint this film is gorgeous, and everyone is right to be rating it as highly as they do. i will say that it wasn’t as perfect as i was expecting, but i definitely see myself watching this again in the future. i have a feeling that the next 2 in the trilogy will destroy me. i think what makes it so special is the hope it brings you. everyone wants a night like that. one aspect i loved is those moments at the end of the scene, where the camera doesn’t cut to the next shot but just stays on the actors in silence. those are so lovely. you just sit with the characters for a few seconds. it really makes you forget you’re watching a movie.
