Sinners
I CAN'T believe this was Miles Caton's debut. I simply won’t believe a guy can deliver such an incredible performance and yet be his first big-screen appearance. This man deserves long standing ovation!
Everything about this film is perfect! I haven’t seen such an amazing one in a very long time and yet it happens to be the last one from which I was expecting it. I had it in mind for some time, but always been finding something else to watch and I am really happy, that I finally decided to do it! It left me actually speechless. Besides the recommendation I immediately gave to at least two people.
Alright, but let’s analyse it part by part. The first scene? Cinematic masterpiece at its peak! Breathtaking! And I’m not even exaggerating. It was only first couple of minutes, but they foreshadowed whole plot to us, which we couldn’t understand anyway at this point, but it was beautiful addition. Cherry on top I might’ve even say. Then the arrival of The Twins. Perfect. Whole first part and building tension and aura around them were on point.
Then the storyline about vampires. You telling me that it’s possible to make a story about them without making it corny and cringe (no hate from me for them, cause I love every single one, but those are facts unfortunately)? They were really scary and portrayed as bloodthirsty beasts. Great job was done here.
Music? Music, music, music. So awesome! I genuinely love when music compose so smoothly with the film and especially when it’s this good! Also every singing actor had so much talent!
I loved how everything was built partly, but we got the tension and absolute amazing time from the very beginning. Both of endings (before and after the credits) were perfect and made a great framing device.
This film is on top of the list of my favourite horrors and I dare to say, that every person who even a little appreciates cinema will think alike. We need to appreciate that we could’ve watch such a fantastic movie, made and let me repeat made in great 2025.
All this things pretty sum up to make this film genuine masterpiece.
