Ben Affleck does his best to create this sleek political thriller that manages to turn this rather odd slice of history into an entertaining and gripping thriller. He manages to keep the tension simmering throughout the runtime without having to rely on flashy action. The editing, specifically in that final airport scene, was truly masterful in building suspense. The performances across the board are great but man Alan Arkin just stole the show for me. The dry humour between his character and John Goodman's was easily one of my favourite parts about the film.
