*"Mister Loomis, where's our crew?"*
Since I first watched *Below *earlier this year I genuinely could not stop thinking about it for some reason so I felt an urge to revisit it, especially after falling back in love with David Twohy after watching *Pitch Black*.
This was a whole lot better on a second viewing.
The claustrophobic setting of the submarine here is absolutely perfect and the film creates a sense of dread from minute one and the palpable tension gradually escalates as the film progresses.
Something I also missed on my first viewing of *Below* is the really excellent performances on show here, especially from Bruce Greenwood and Holt McCallany, two actors who could have become superstars with their talent, but I feel they are never really talked about and they are really excellent in this film.
