Community Plot

Nothing beats that grimy 80s NYC aesthetic, it's wasted on something that plays like a flat SNL sketch. *Community Plot* weaponizes its irony by keeping the critique at an arm's length. Fun premise left me cold.

Hard to listen to, it's okay

Beautiful portrait of the Lower East Side, one of the few diverse neighborhoods in the de facto segregated city of New York. A radical comedy about killing an emissary of Ed Koch’s neoliberal regime of red tape and austerity with your neighbors and then laughing about it. What a utopian vision.
