This short film can be watched here: Do Not Split (2020)
Do Not Split is a harrowing look inside the Hong Kong protests of the Chinese government in 2019. Since having control ceded from Britan to China, the people of Hong Kong have been losing rights and become more repressed. They fight back with resolve and determination---but is their group too small to take on the megalith of China?
I found this film to be interesting and informative, but I feel like it was the wrong time for this video to randomly pop up on my watchlist. Watching a documentary about a country losing rights that has been part of their lives and that they are accustomed to on this day may be kind of depressed and hopeless for the future. I guess, at this moment, I can empathize with those in Hong Kong a little bit.
