Call me crazy but this isn’t even that bad. Compared to the last two, this is a lot more fun. It’s Doug Bradley’s last time playing Pinhead and Lance Henriksen is in this and he’s fantastic!! He’s a great actor and is by far my favorite thing about this movie, he plays his role amazingly. A young Henry Cavill is also in this, which is pretty cool, but he gives a decent performance all things considered. I definitely think that the visual effects could have been better, but the gore was pretty gnarly. The acting is not the greatest, nor is the direction, but I must admit that it is shot fairly decently and the plot is interesting. I like the autumn vibes near the beginning. This is the point in the Hellraiser franchise in which they go full meta and most of the time it doesn’t work. In my opinion, Wes Craven is the king of meta horror, but we’re getting off track. Anyway, this does an interesting job of making Hellraiser a video game and on top of that, the game is an addicting one that causes the main cast of characters all sorts of havoc. Death, blood, pleasure, pain, all key concepts of the Hellraiser series that make this movie a blast!!! It’s a Hellraiser party for the ages, full of all sorts of bizarre trinkets and shenanigans. It’s not great, but I can’t help but enjoy it, especially after the last two movies, which were terrible. Overall, Hellworld has a very interesting concept. Perhaps the plot could have been even better since it involved a video game, but for what it is, it’s fun and that’s all that matters. I’d say it’s worth a watch and is most definitely over-hated. Anyway, I’m nearly certain that the next two movies are absolute dogshit since Doug Bradley is no longer Pinhead. I was wondering when he would stop being in these movies since if I were him, I would’ve been tired of playing the character for so long, especially since most of the sequels are not good whatsoever. Hopefully he got paid well.
