This short film can be watched here: Quest (1996) Sand is dry, water is wet. Our little sandman is on a Quest for water to sustain himself. He travels through many worlds, always on a quest. The film ends up being circular--as he ends up right back where he started. There can be many interpretations of this short film. Life is an endless quest where you never quite get what you want or need. Circle of life. The never ending desire to be fulfilled quench your needs as a person (or little sandman). The stop motion in this film used very simple components and managed to do some impressive world building. The short reminded me of the 1977 Short Film Winner, The Sand Castle .
