The Program

Football is a terrible sport for terrible people and football movies are for terrible people. You know it is bad when after the opening it instantly takes a nosedive and never recovers. This film caused me to take multiple breaks when watching this film and CONSTANTLY checking the run time, I almost never do this. This film looks terrible for starters, it looks worse than films that were made in the 1960s on a less than million dollar budget. I didn't care for any of the characters and it was just simply a miserable watch. The only character that kept me sane was Halle Berry's character because I like Halle Berry and she is pretty and it was enough to distract me. The film making here is almost always incompetent. I seriously can;t stand how annoying it is to follow. All the themes presented here are not done justice, they don't explore these concepts really at all and just show them for a second. I seriously find it insane I had to watch this for my film course. I don't even wanna finish this review because the film didn't really wrap things up.

He woulda won the Heisman had his slogan been "High on Joe-Kane" rather than "Kane is Able."

Sometimes sports movies are fine. I don’t really know if I’m supposed to root for any of these characters. They’re all pretty bad dudes, but it also feels like it’s trying to capture the wide spectrum of college sports guys and a lot of them DO suck!  Kinda makes a case for abolishing college football even without all the head injury stuff (which is an even stronger case). Seems bad!
