Dead Set

Story is pretty mid but still pretty enjoyable. Really short, which is fine, but a little boring in the middle of the show.

Good concept executed well. Got a ‘28 Days Later’ & ‘Misfits’ vibe. It’s cool and not very surprising that it’s written by the same person who wrote many Black Mirror episodes. I enjoyed the start of the outbreak and I thought the ending was good. A pretty enjoyable zombie miniseries.

God this is the most accurate representation of the late 2000s big brother I have ever seen also got to be the worst place to be when an outbreak happens

It’s pretty decent but at a surface level, highly clichéd and not quite as ground breaking as was expected. The practical effects and makeup were great but then ruined by the Rob-Zombie-like, fast and flashy editing style.

i always used to think ,,i wonder what would happen to british people in a zombie apocalypse‘’. sure there’s a good few zombie films set in britain - *shaun of the dead*, *28 days later*… - but america usually takes the limelight, like with shows like *the walking dead*. so it was just so fun to watch a series so fundamentally british! the whole premise of big brother being used was so original, and so interestingly done. the characters felt real and grounded and like any normal people you’d see in the 2000s. cool gore, tense, just everything you’d look for. binged it in one day. loved it! 🧟🔪📺 also, riz ahmed. enough said.
