***Children of The Southern Land…*** Baz luhrman ruins any good idea he has, with all the baz-luhrmanness. Never has there been a popular filmmaker with worse aesthetic taste. He should be banned from Australia for making this. The same film directed by Peter Weir or Edward Zwick would probably be great. DNF
