> *If the world is a sea of butterflies, what kind of butterfly would you be? *
Human Specimens is a modern-art film that combines the complexity of human nature and the simplicity of beauty, and its subjectiveness to various perspectives. It defines the lines between art and morality, and the gift of talent that we inherently have.
To see the world in a different light is something most people would wish for. But to appreciate your own colors is a gift most people take for granted. Even if butterflies see the world as a bursting beauty, we as humans, are just as alike.
The moment we take a break from this world, I'd like to imagine that we become butterflies. Flying free as our last drop of humanity flee our own body. If our most beautiful moments could be preserved, then would it be art, or a past we could not let go?
This film is an expression of the metamorphic identity that is our self. We will always be constantly changing, but some parts will be just is.
In another life, if I could be a butterfly, then I'd rather not be captured. But rather be on a white sandy beach, seeping some pineapple cocktail while staring at the sun.
