rewatching this feels like throwing eugene sledge back in the arena for the quarter quell

This show is so good, telling the stories of some of the most legendary marines of all time. It’s gritty, dark and depressing and I love it. Chesty puller mentioned, long live chesty.

The Pacific delivers a truly gritty and emotional portrayal of Pacific theater, with powerful moments and intense battle scenes. While it’s a strong show in its own right, it doesn’t quite match the character depth and cohesion that made Band of Brothers one of the best TV shows of all time, and you kinda get the sense of that in the first episode. Still I really enjoyed watching this.
