Perfect Days
"The world is made up of many worlds; some are connected, and some are not."
this movie is one of the best movies that's come out in the past decade and i'm so happy that this gets the recognition it deserves. wim wenders a director that i need to see more from as only seen this and paris, texas which i believe are both masterpieces. koji yakusho is quickly becoming an actor i want to see more, he's the reason why i rewatched this because of his performances in cure and eureka. the soundtrack in this is easily one of my favourite soundtracks in any slice of life movie ever. i love how its all from hirayamas cassette collection and how much he keeps them sacred. i think this movies exploration of having a meaningful life through simplicity is so great and i honestly envy it so much even tho im still rlly young myself id rather do what he's doing than whatever the fuck i'm doing. the ending is one of the most ambiguous endings that i finally understood after a second watch and it explores the themes of ppl living in different worlds mentally as said through the movie a good bit. the cinematography is obviously just beautiful, it's a wim wenders movies how else is it gonna look. i have no clue why he went for that aspect ratio but im so glad he did because i love the 4:3 aspect ratio so much. i wish more ppl i knew irl would watch this because i rlly wanna talk about this movie so badly.
amazing movie
