Yojimbo

the 4th kurosawa film i've watched and another kurosawa movie im giving a 5 star. i genuinely have loved all of his films and this is my second favourite of them so far, the slick comedy at the start, the epic action at the end and the whole amount of mouthing and slabbering is some of the most fun i've ever had in a movie. the movie doesn't have a single low it stays on the same wavelength throughout the entire movie it's 10x better than its western remake and it's just an overall better movie with better acting and better cinematography. but tbf a fistful of dollars does have a better soundtrack. the cinematography in this made sanjuro look so tuff and he really is so fucking tuff. especially at the final confrontation when he's standing there and the wind is blowing over some smoke or sand idk but it looks so fucking cool. amazing movie
