BEEF
consequentialism.
consequentialism is my favourite ethical framework, my favourite book is the stranger by albert camus, I love how every action--everything you do results in something, every small, every big, every action results in something.
the fallacy of consequentialism—ends can justify means—but ends simply cannot be predicted. we can never foresee the ultimate consequences of our actions.
"everything fades. nothing lasts."
I feel like this show is just a whole big mess of consequentialism. and I am so here for it.
the way this series is filmed genuinely perfects it. the cinematography, the soundtrack, god, it's so beautiful I'm never getting over it.
"you know, you're born, you make choices, the suddenly... you're here."
I love that they're both terrible people; in every situation one of them is involved in, they're the outlier, they're the problem. I love how this show justifies them but also doesn't, they make us like them, but only in a relatable way, not in a way of genuinely liking either of them.
"why is it so hard for us to be happy?"
catch-22.
