Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
The first 40 or so minutes of this film feature a few decent jokes and creative ideas as well as a good amount of ok action set pieces. However, it is not until the IMF sets foot on Dubai that this movie truly takes off. From the very moment the second act begins, to the moment the credits roll, Ghost Protocol suddenly becomes one of the most heart-pumping action movies I have ever seen in my life, with the incredible action only broken by massively tense espionage scenes and the occasional breather so that the audience doesn´t faint from how fucking insane this movie is. This movie had me with a full grin on my face for an hour and a half straight, I don't think any other M:I movies that I've watched quite compare to the delightful chaos on display here, with multiple scenes that made me feel like my heart was about to burst out of my chest and go flying out like one of the nuclear missiles in this movie. The only action films I can compare this to right now are my very favorites and that is because, straight out of my first watch, Ghost Protocol has already become one of my favorite action films ever and will 100% me one I revisit constantly in the future.
