Mixed Nuts

The key to this movie is in the rewatch. The first time you watch, you focus on the implausible plot, the problematic nature, the over-the-top zaniness, and yes…Steve Martin’s brown hair. But then on the rewatch you know what to expect. You can sit back, relax and as you hear Rita Wilson say: “do you fit the physical description of the victims?” realize that it’s actually kind of hysterical. So many great lines here. Nora & Delia through and through. “I blamed the Santa Anas! I don’t even know what the Santa Anas are!!!” Didn’t cry.
