Warrior
OH GOD 😭 this time, my dad really showed me the perfect film. I laughed. I cried. I held my breath. I got goosebumps.
from the very beginning, I was hooked. The atmosphere, the intensity, the broken relationships, it all felt so real. You don’t even have to be a fan of MMA or sports to feel every punch, every tear, every word like it was happening to you.
If you like movies.. no, if you love stories, do yourself the biggest favor ever and watch this film.
This AMAZING film show us how a dad can change, but his love for his sons will never.
What makes Warrior so special isn’t just the incredible acting, the perfectly executed fight scenes, or the raw direction, it’s the story. It’s the human side. This is a film about pain, forgiveness, trauma, brotherhood, and how love can survive even in the most shattered places. I have NEVER watched a movie with this level of greatness. Ever.
The relationship between the two brothers, Tommy and Brendan, destroyed me. They’re both carrying so much pain, so much unspoken history.
Tommy looks at Brendan with resentment and rage, while Brendan looks at him with sadness, love, and this nostalgic ache that only older siblings understand. Deep down, no matter how broken things are, Brendan never stopped seeing him as his little brother. That alone made me cry.
And THAT FINAL FIGHT SCENE!!!
I was literally sobbing. Not because of the action (though that was incredible), but because of the emotion. The physical battle was just a metaphor. That fight wasn’t about winning or losing in the ring, it was about healing. If Tommy had won, the family wouldn’t have started to mend. But when Brendan holds him and says:
“I’m sorry Tommy! I’m sorry… Tap out Tom! It’s OK, it’s OK! I love you. I love you, Tommy.” WRAP IT UP 😭😭😭
…I lost it. I broke down. It’s one of the most powerful, raw, real scenes I’ve ever seen in my life. You could feel how much Brendan still loved him, even after everything. And Tommy, broken, angry, hurt, still couldn’t walk away. They NEEDED that moment to finally be brothers again.
And let’s talk about the dad. Oh my god. That scene when he’s watching his sons fight from the audience, silently, with years of guilt and hope in his eyes… no words. It’s just pure cinema. This film shows us that a father can be deeply flawed, can mess up in so many ways but the love for his children? That never dies.
Every fight scene gave me chills. The crowd screaming, the chants, the energy, the tension it was overwhelming in the best way. The scenes with the Marines supporting Tommy? Powerful. Goosebumps. Even though I was watching from home, I felt like I was part of the arena.
Some people get upset that Tommy didn’t win, but honestly? He did. Because that last fight was never really about the title, it was about family. About healing. About saying “I’m here, and I still love you.” Brendan winning wasn’t just a plot point, it was emotional closure. A symbol that maybe, just maybe, they could begin again.
This movie gave me everything: action, heart, pain, laughter, love. I laughed a lot. I got really excited. And I cried harder than I ever thought I would watching a sports drama.
Warrior isn’t just the greatest film I’ve ever seen, it’s one of the most human films ever made. Raw. Real. Heartbreaking. Beautiful.
I’ll never forget it.Five stars is not enough.
