i used to hate musicals, but these high stylized ones are so much fun! it has the best qualities of theater and film and i like that they really leaned into the campy theatrical vibe and it’s not just a film where they for some reason instead of dialogue burst into a song. also the costume design, hair, makeup, set design, lighting, choreography, songs……all iconic
