Materialists

I’m not even finished with the 3rd watch, but I’m already convinced…. CELINE SONG IS ON 🐐 WATCH! Have a Wembanyama stretch with these first 2 movies. The vibes, the nuance, the tense dialogue - I’M SOLD!!!!! ———————————————— Just finished, now time for the real review:  I think the reason why I really love this movie is because it feels like 2025’s When Harry Met Sally. Where people begin to critique character and story choices and motives, I believe fall in line with the heart of this movie - where do expectations come from? Are they derived from perspective or passion? Do we crave authenticity or affirmation? Do we want something eternal or something satisfying?  I understand complaints that people have, but for me, I’m always easily satisfied with each narrative conclusion, and that’s because it’s easy to feel the raw emotion and story telling that emanates from this, the whole time. This movie proves its own existence, over and over again. Welcome to the favorites 💙
