Alien

The buildup is just so masterfully done. The slow buildup to the finale half of the movie was jarring for me the first time around but the twists in Alien were something that I totally forgot about when I first watched it, and I truly appreciate them more. It makes me as so many more questions, in a good way. Something that I don’t acknowledge the first time around is just how good the production design is. From the xenomorph, planet, and the ship, it’s all just sooo good. I mean it’s the type of amazing that makes me wonder why we cant have like this everywhere. I love the usage of smoke throughout the whole movie, adds so much to industrial vibe it has.
